So — been on this thing for maybe five months now and it’s stuck on my phone, so figured I’d say something since a mate asked me last week. Am UK based, mainly bet football and racing, nothing mad, for context.
What got me on it was honestly pretty stupid — I couldn’t ever get my head round what an each way return actually was when the place terms changed. Basically I’d wing it and then be surprised. These days I type the odds in before every slip, even a simple single bet.
Their single bet calculator tool is the bit I use most — type in your stake, the odds and it spits out profit and total return with no faffing, fractions or decimals. It also handles the fiddly ones — doubles and trebles maths, lucky 15s, patents and yankees, honestly that’s where I always lose track. Have a go yourself, it’s over at ew odds calculator and there’s no login wall, which I appreciated.
The thing that really changed how I bet is the more serious bits. The odds-to-probability thing and it makes obvious the overround, and there’s the kelly staking calculator — I use half kelly as the full version is terrifying. The dutch tool gets used a fair bit if I’m splitting a race.
Not all sunshine though. The layout looks very functional, let’s say — zero polish, which honestly I don’t mind but some will. Phone-wise it works but the lucky 63 breakdown make you pinch and zoom. And no app, it’s a website and that’s it — slight shame but worth saying.
Right, that’s me. Free, barely any ads, does what it says. If you honestly works out returns on a calculator app, have a look — saves me a fair few arguments with the bookie.
