OK — have been messing about with this thing for about a few months now and it’s basically bookmarked at this point, reckon I’d say something since someone asked me last week. I’m based in the UK, mainly bet football and racing, a fiver here and there, so take it how you like.
What got me on it was actually pretty stupid — I could never work out what an ew payout would be with 1/5 odds a place. Basically I’d wing it and get a shock. Now I stick my stake in before every slip, even a straight one-selection punt.
Their single bet calculator is the bit I open most — type in stake and odds and it shows profit and total return straight away, either odds format. There’s also the fiddly ones — doubles and trebles maths, lucky 15 and lucky 63, patents and yankees, and that’s where I’d always got it wrong. If you fancy a poke about, it’s here matched betting formula and it’s free with no account nonsense.
One thing that actually changed how I bet is the geekier bits. The odds-to-probability calculator which shows you what margin’s baked in, and there’s the kelly tool — I use half kelly because full kelly is far too aggressive. The dutching one is decent when I’m splitting a race.
Couple of gripes. Its layout is a bit basic — not much polish, which honestly I don’t mind but some will. Phone-wise it works but the bigger tables are a squeeze. And nothing on the app store, just the site — slight shame but you asked.
Right, that’s me. Free, not plastered in adverts, does what it says. Anyone who still works out returns on a calculator app, have a look — saves me a load of “wait, that’s it?” moments.
