Right — been using this thing for about four months now and I keep coming back, so figured I’d say something since someone asked me last week. Am in the UK, mainly stick to footie and the horses, a fiver here and there, just so you know where I’m coming from.

How I found it was honestly a bit daft — I never could get my head round what an each way return would be when the place terms changed. I’d just eyeball it and get a shock. These days I stick my stake in before every slip, even a simple single bet.

The single bet calculator tool is the bit I use most — you drop in the price and your stake and it shows returns straight away, fractions or decimals. It also handles the fiddly ones — trebles returns, lucky 15 and lucky 63, patents and yankees, which is where I’d always mess it up. Have a go yourself, it’s here each way winnings calculator and there’s no login wall, which I appreciated.

One thing that really shifted things for me were the geekier bits. They’ve got an odds-to-probability thing and it makes obvious what margin’s baked in, and a kelly tool — I run quarter kelly since full stakes are terrifying. The dutch tool gets used a fair bit when I’m spreading across selections.

It’s not perfect mind. Its design is pretty plain — zero flash, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. On mobile it works but the bigger tables need a bit of scrolling. Also there’s no proper app, it’s a website and that’s it — doesn’t bother me but worth saying.

Right, that’s me. Free, not plastered in adverts, does what it says. Anyone who still works out returns on a calculator app, try it — it’s saved me a load of “wait, that’s it?” moments.
