So — have been messing about with this thing for about four months now and it’s basically bookmarked at this point, so figured I’d write something up since someone asked me a few days back. I’m UK based, mostly do football and horses, a fiver here and there, just so you know where I’m coming from.

The reason I started using it was actually pretty stupid — I never could get my head round what an ew return actually came to when the place terms changed. I’d just wing it and moan when the payout landed. These days I type the odds in before I place anything, even a simple single bet.

Their single bet calculator is the one I open most — you put in stake and odds and it spits out the return straight away, fractions or decimals. It also handles the multiples — doubles and trebles returns, a lucky 15, a yankee, honestly that’s where I’d always mess it up. If you fancy a poke about, it lives at dutch calculator and it’s free with no account nonsense.

One thing that genuinely made a difference were the more serious tools. There’s an odds-to-probability calculator that shows how much the bookie’s taking, and a kelly criterion tool — I run quarter kelly as the full version is far too aggressive. The dutch tool is decent for when I’m splitting a race.

Couple of gripes. The interface is very functional, let’s say — no polish, which honestly I don’t mind but some will. Phone-wise it’s usable though the lucky 63 breakdown make you pinch and zoom. There’s no app, just the site — fine by me just flagging it.

Right, that’s me. Costs nowt, no ads shoved in your face, works. Anyone who still adds it up in their head, give it a go — saved me a load of “wait, that’s it?” moments.
