One thing that genuinely changed how I bet were the geekier tools. There’s an odds-to-probability calculator which shows you how much the bookie’s taking, and a kelly tool — I run quarter kelly as the full version is terrifying. Dutching calculator is decent for when I’m covering two or three runners.

It’s not perfect mind. The design is pretty plain — no frills, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. Phone-wise it’s usable but the lucky 63 breakdown need a bit of scrolling. Also there’s nothing on the app store, it’s browser only — doesn’t bother me but you asked.

So yeah. Costs nowt, barely any ads, works. If anyone still works out returns on a calculator app, have a look — saves me a fair few “wait, that’s it?” moments.
