Right — have been messing about with this thing for something like a few months now and it’s stuck on my phone, reckon I’d write something up since a lad on another thread asked me a few days back. I’m in the UK, mainly stick to footie and the horses, a fiver here and there, so take it how you like.

What got me on it was honestly embarrassing — I couldn’t ever figure out what an e/w return would be once you get five places instead of three. I used to just wing it and moan when the payout landed. Now punch the numbers in before I place anything, even the boring singles.

The single bet calculator tool is the one I open most — you drop in stake and odds and it spits out returns with no faffing, either odds format. There’s also the bigger stuff — trebles returns, lucky 15 and lucky 63, patents and yankees, which is where I always got it wrong. Have a go yourself, it’s over at how many bets in a lucky 63 — free, no signup.

One thing that genuinely changed how I bet were the geekier tools. There’s an odds-to-probability calculator which shows you how much the bookie’s taking, and a kelly tool — I run quarter kelly as the full version is terrifying. Dutching calculator is decent for when I’m covering two or three runners.

It’s not perfect mind. The design is pretty plain — no frills, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. Phone-wise it’s usable but the lucky 63 breakdown need a bit of scrolling. Also there’s nothing on the app store, it’s browser only — doesn’t bother me but you asked.

So yeah. Costs nowt, barely any ads, works. If anyone still works out returns on a calculator app, have a look — saves me a fair few “wait, that’s it?” moments.
